My name is Samuel Potter. I am an up and coming motorsport photographer, with the dream of entering the world of motorsport photography professionally.
My love of Photography began in Year 9, starting my GCSE's. After being given my first camera, ( a canon 1100d ) I was out most days taking photographs for my GCSE's. These photographs consisted of nature photography, and aviation photography, during this time, I never had a thought that I wanted to go pro, since I never had the money to do so. During this time, I slowly started watching formula 1, I was watching the races more and more until I was watching them every weekend. This was when I realised that I wanted to really persure photography.
After achieving a Grade 6 in my Photography GCSE, I applied to Access creative college, where I am currently studying photography, film and videography. This is when my parents bought me my first mirrorless camera. A canon r100. My parents buying me this camera lit a fire in me that made me persure my dreams even further. Around November 2025, I discovered that Snetterton ( a track near me ) had track days for free for visitors, and visitors were allowed to take photographs. Since then, I have been travelling to Snetterton every other weekend to practise my skills in my motorsport photography. In January 2026, I made my biggest investment in my photography, and bought myself a sigma 150-600mm ef lens. This lens has allowed me to capture the cars on track closer than ever before.
